This particular radio is in excellent condition. High 060 Serial Number. Exceptionally clean, extremely well taken care of. All 11 relays were professionally replaced. The display, faceplate and knobs are all in excellent condition for their age. The display is clear and bright. Meters and lamps all work fine. The cabinet has only a few small scratches.
The External VFO works perfect. Battery backup is fine. The speaker is loud and clear. The frequency contouring switches are a little scratchy but work as they should. Could use a little cleaning.
The receive is exceptionally clear and quiet.  Using the external VFO avoids the normal warm-up drift associated with the internal VFO. The transmit audio and power on this radio are strong. Our first choice for a microphone would not be the included D-104 or the MH1B8. We've used an MD-1, Turner +2 and a Astatic 575. They all sound well balanced and extremely loud and clear. The D-104 is stock, and while clear, it carries more of a treble emphasis. While AM and FM modes work, this radio really shines on SSB. The optionally installed filters add to the radio's listening performance.
If you hate scrolling through nested menus to change a simple function, then this is the radio for you! Every control is at your fingertips for easy access and adjustment.
Strong 6146B tri-tube transmit section with a super quite front-end receive.

All 11 have been changed.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:
Includes simple D-18 diode clip 11 meter modification as shown in image 12
. Band selector in the 29Mhz position is now 27Mhz.
Display unmodified, still indicates 29.xxxMhz
As a result of 11 meter mod RF output on 28Mhz and 24.5Mhz is low. Directions will be included with how to remove 11 meter modification and retune.
NOTE:
If the 11 meter modification is not needed, we can remove the mod and return 29Mhz operation to normal. Contact us prior to purchasing.
We've taken the time to record the output on all band. We also have taken pictures. Which we will provide if requested.
The radio was connected to the MFJ-267 Dummy-load/watt-meter and placed in tune.
