Vintage Tempo S5 2M FM Amateur Radio Hand-Held Transceiver

Up for sale is this vintage Tempo model S5 2m FM hand-held transceiver for amateur radio use. This is quite similar to the Icom IC-2AT from the same era, but quite rare in comparison.
This HT is in remarkable condition for its age. Both the radio itself and the leather case show little sign of being used.
Radios of this vintage are frequently found with dead and leaky batteries which may have even caused damage. Fortunately that is not the case here; at some point the battery pack was removed so there is no damage internally. This does mean that you will need a battery pack to operate the radio in the manner it was intended.
To test it, I temporarily connected the cut off battery leads to a variable power supply set to 9.6v and the radio appears to work correctly. I was able to bring up my local repeater (the only one around without PL) and also talked across the room on direct.
