    Description

Here is a nice little Stoddart NM-25T Field Strength Meter, which is actually a complete solid state superheterodyne receiver covering 150 kHz to 32 MHz.  It also has internal rechargeable Ni-Cad batteries, which seem to take a charge and by spec, will run it in the field for 40 hours.  I've played with it for several hours at a time running on the battery, but cannot verify the batteries would really last 40 hours.  It seems to be a very HOT radio, easily hearing a tenth microvolt signal on all bands.   It DOES have a BFO, and WILL copy SSB, but the tuning rate makes it a tad difficult in that  mode. The receiver is either single or dual conversion ( IF's at 1600 & 455 kHz ) depending on the selected band.  The "phones" output jack is quite capable of providing adequate listening volume to an outboard speaker.  The frequency calibration is good, but not "dead-on" on some frequencies.  The metering side seems to be working fine, as I applied various levels of signals from a known RF source ( HP-8648C and HP-8640B signal generators) and the µV meter is right on.  It's not "beat-up" but there are noticable paint chips on the case.  Inside however is "clean-as-a- whistle" as you can see from the pics.  It comes with a mating 120 VAC line cord AND a full 180 page operation & service manual on disk
.  A locked switch can select 120 V or 240 V for input power.   I believe Singer bought the rights to Stoddart and has been making them, but with a lighter gray (biege??) case and panel.
While not it's intended purpose, it would make a great band-scanner for HF and VLF listening.  Due to unscrupulous parts swappers, I cannot offer any long term guarantees, but you are welcome to come by and try it out.

I usually ship any item the day after receiving the receipt of payment
notice from paypal.  Then, it is in the hands of the delivery service.
The US post office specifies up to 10 days for US delivery of an item shipped
via parcel post.  International air mail can take considerably longer.  So
much so that a tracer cannot even be filed until at least a month after
the ship date.  I have found that recent international air mail shipments
have been taking six weeks or more to arrive.  Even priority mail times have
extended to several weeks.  I didn't earn over 6000 positive feedbacks
by cheating people.  Also, eBay's messaging system is NOT infallable.
Please keep this in mind if there is any concern about delivery times.
