Description

This listing is a SERVICE for modifying your TK-981 Amateur Radio to receive at 902.
This mod is intended for converting the radios into repeater receivers or weak signal FM work at 902 MHz
The front end 936MHz filters will be replaced with 915MHz filters. The new filters are included in the purchase. In addition, the VCO will be tuned down in frequency.
This will EXTEND the receive range of the radio from 902-928MHz.
After the mod has been performed, the TRANSMIT range of the radio will be aprox. 902-915MHz. By tuning the VCO down, the transmit range on the high end is limited.
For repeater users, a pinout can be provided for how to interface this radio with a repeater controller or sound card.
After Purchase, I will provide you with an address to ship the radio to. Ship this radio within 3 business days of purchase. I will then perform the modifications of the receiver front end and test the sensitivity is within spec ( <-120dBm at 902). After radio is received, 3 business days will be required to perform mod.  Return shipping back is included in the purchase of the item.
