The IC -9700 is the first VHF/UHF amateur radio equipment to adopt the highly evaluated RF direct sampling method (144/430 MHz band) for the HF transceiver IC -7610/IC -7300, the real-time spectrum scope that enables at-a-glance understanding of the status within the band, and the waterfall display that enables time-series confirmation of the reception history. In addition, the 1200 MHz band is standard.
Various functions have been implemented, including a large 4.3 inch TFT display supporting touch operation, 2 waves simultaneous reception in different bands and modes, full duplex, satellite only mode, D-STAR digital voice/digital data (DV) mode, and terminal mode/access point mode, which have become a hot topic in recent years. In addition, the newly designed power amplifier and cooling structure ensure stable operation even when used for long periods of time.
Since the operation system and user interface are the same as those of IC -7300, IC -9700 and IC -7300 can be used in the lineup from HF band to 1200 MHz band.
