Description
1. Module description:
A. EtherCAT is the mainstream fast industrial Ethernet solution today, and it is also the advanced core technology of Industry 4.0 intelligent manufacturing. There are two basic frameworks for realizing this scheme: master station + slave station;
B. The core board adopts the latest AX58100 chip from AsiaInfo, which can replace ET1100/LAN9252;
C. The AX58100 core board can quickly complete simple applications such as high-speed IO control/ADC without an external MCU, and can also construct complex applications through an external MCU.
D. The control IO related to the AX58100 core board is all externally connected, which can realize different application expansion;
E. There are abundant external expansion boards IO/ADC/stepper motor/BDLC motor control, which are fully compatible with the official example, and the supporting MCU expansion board is also under development;

Second, AX58100 slave chip description:
AX58100 has integrated two high-speed Ethernet PHYs that can support both fiber and copper network applications and supports some additional control interfaces such as pulse width modulation (PWM) interface, incremental (ABZ) / Hall encoder interface, SPI Master interface, 32 digital control I/Os, I/O watchdog, emergency stop input, etc., allowing customers to easily design the AX58100 on various EtherCAT industrial Ethernet fieldbuses without the need for additional microprocessors product application. For existing traditional fieldbus products, AX58100 provides two process data interfaces (PDI), local bus interface and SPI Slave interface, customers can easily connect AX58100 to the microprocessor of traditional fieldbus products through these interfaces Support EtherCAT slave function.AX58100 provides customers with a simple design, cost-effective EtherCAT industrial Ethernet slave solution, which can be applied to various real-time automatic control product applications, such as industrial automation, motor/motion control, digital I/O control , Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) / Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) control, sensor data acquisition, robot shaft control, etc.
