    Description

This is a 1920s Nature's Remedy Laxative Pills Celluloid Pocket Mirror Medical Advertising.
"NATURE'S REMEDY TABLETS" ORIGINAL ADVERTISING POCKET MIRROR - 1920s (or before) Parisian Novelty Company, Chicago. 2" diameter. Color litho on celluloid with tin back.
The highly graphic mirror front includes a pink border surrounding an image of a person's face with protruding tongue, about to swallow a magical "NR" (Nature's Remedy) laxative tablet. Imprinted around the circumference of the mirror is the following, "Take One To-night - You'll Feel Better In The Morning" & "Better Than Pills For Liver Ills - Get a 25 Cent Box". Manufacturer name stamped on bottom edge: "Parisian Nov. Co. Chicago".
Parisian Novelty was one of the major early makers of advertising mirrors. An interesting and unusual medical advertising piece!
NOTE - THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with mild surface/stain/edge wear. Mild surface scuffing on front & moderate spot oxidation on back. Litho colors and imagery are still bold, bright and vibrant.
